Graduate School - Postgraduate Studies
The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a bilingual (Chinese
and English) and bicultural institution of higher learning founded in 1963. As
a first-class comprehensive research university at the local and international
circumstances, we aim at both cultivating quality higher degree graduates to
serve the increasingly sophisticated needs of society and making contributions
to the pool of human knowledge through research. We have a unique college
system and 134-hectare natural scenery campus. The majority of the teaching
staff is bilingual and recruited from all over the world. Current enrolment of
postgraduate students is around 10,485, including a substantial portion of
non-local students admitted globally.
To achieve the mission of accumulating and creating
knowledge in different disciplines, we offer some 240 programs leading to
doctoral, research master’s and taught master’s degrees and postgraduate
diplomas through 8 Faculties: Arts, Business Administration, Education,
Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science and Social Science. Postgraduate
studentship is available for full-time research students.
